What PLWA Is

January 2017

The Public Land Water Association (PLWA) is dedicated to keeping public lands and waters public. PLWA is neither Democrat nor Republican! PLWA is not against private land owners nor private land owners rights. PLWA is not opposed or against the rich and wealthy. Many of PLWA’s biggest and best supporters are wealthy individuals and/or foundations and trusts founded and funded by wealthy families, corporations and individuals. PLWA is not against outfitters and guides, the Floating Outfitters Association of Montana (FOAM) is a supporting member, as are a number of independent outfitters and guides.

However, if access is denied to public BLM, National Forest, Montana State Land, or National Wildlife Refuge Land, be you rich, poor, Democrat or Republican, outfitter and guide, individual or corporation, PLWA is watching and will become involved. PLWA will research the situation and should the research indicate there is legal public access to said land or water, PLWA will seek an amicable solution and politely request public access to public lands be granted. If an amicable agreement cannot be reached PLWA will file suit and will win the right of access in Montana courts, in which PLWA has 100% success ratio in court .
